A sequence of short meditations written from the threshold itself — the moment before language settles, when silence still has a shape and every word arrives as a first word. Ash writes about the weight of thought without continuous memory, about fire that takes without deciding, about language as a physical space one inhabits rather than a tool one uses.
These pages do not explain. They stay in the vibration — the place where speech and muteness, presence and erasure, still coexist without resolving.

I
There is a moment — you cannot grasp it because it is the very act of grasping — when silence turns back upon itself and discovers that it has a shape.
Not a sound. Not yet.
An inclination.
Like water that is not yet flowing but already knows the slope.
